Darrell McGregor studied film at the University of Houston, where he wrote and directed several shorts, from comedy sketches and music videos to a gritty neo-noir. His artistic journey hit a roadblock when a debilitating brain disorder threatened his vision and subjected him to severe migraines. Darrell took a long hiatus from film, but with the unwavering support of his amazing wife and kids, he navigated the challenges of his condition and resurfaced in the world of screenwriting. He’s placed in the Nicholl, Austin, PAGE, Final Draft Big Break, Launch Pad, and ScreenCraft contests with multiple scripts. Darrell’s stories explore the experiences of resilient outsiders in complex worlds, reflecting his personal struggles while also finding humor in the absurdities of everyday life.
